Philosophy vs Ancient History for A level

Hi everyone! I have to choose my A levels in a week, and I've basically locked in 3 of my 4 choices (pretty standard, Maths/FM/Physics). For my 4th I'm split between Ancient History and Philosophy (I'm equally interested in both). What would you recommend I do if I'm planning to do physics at university, and for each of these what would I be getting myself into? Thanks a lot!

Hi. I'm an ancient history nerd, so that part of me wants to tell you that Ancient History is the right choice, but that wouldn't be very impartial of me.

I recommend a pros and cons list about the topics on the course specifications (as well as anything else, such as the teachers). Also, think about which one you feel you would regret not taking. Can you see yourself a year down the line being happy with your choice?

I hope this helps, and if you have any more questions, feel free to ask me. 😊

I know you are equally interested in both, but which do you think you will get the best grade in?

I mean I'm not getting an A* in either, but an A is probably doable for both with a lot of work.

Have a look at the specs for both and see which you prefer. If the college offers an offer holder or taster day in the summer and you’re still undecided then ask if you can attend the taster sessions for both subjects.

Oh right.
Look into the course content for both to see which you might like best.
