Is it possible to transfer into Year 2 Civil Engineering at another uni?

I’m a first-year Civil Engineering student at UWE and I’m looking into the possibility of transferring into Year 2 at another university. I’ve been getting high marks this year and haven’t found the work particularly challenging. From what I can see, most of my modules line up fairly well with other unis’ first-year civil engineering content.

My A-levels were CCD (I messed them up), but my uni performance is much stronger and I’d be willing to retake A-level Maths if required. I’ve already covered topics like integration and differentiation at uni, and I’m self-studying extra maths such as matrices to fill any gaps.

Before I email any admissions teams, I’d really appreciate advice from anyone who has transferred into Year 2 for engineering, or knows how realistic this is. I know I’ve missed the UCAS deadline, but I’m not sure how much of an issue that is for transfers. I’d ideally like to move to a uni that’s more challenging mathematically and theoretically.

Any guidance or experiences would be really helpful  like seriously thank you!
