Exeter uni accommodation

Which uni accommodation is the best when studying law at university of Exeter?
Looking for ensuite and self catered, not in a loud area, but somewhere near the law building
Most uni owned accom is next to the campus essentially, with a couple of exceptions. A lot of private halls are further out in the city proper, although there are regular buses anyway that take about 10 mins or so to get to the campus. I don't think any one accommodation is significantly nearer from the various uni owned ones, it just depends which side of the hill you want to live on. One side has a bigger incline than the other!

Ohh ok, so which uni accommodations is based on the less hilly side ?. Something that is in the campus area, so not private halls.
Would you recommend any ?

Hiya!

For a self-catered, en-suite option on campus, I’d have to recommend East Park. I’m definitely a bit biased as I lived there in my first year but I really enjoyed it. My en-suite room was quite small but really felt like home when I’d settled in and decorated, and the shared area was spacious and comfortable with a cleaner coming once a week. It’s only about a 5-10 minute walk, depending on which block you’re in, from the Amory building which is where Law is based, and only a little further (unfortunately up a bit of a hill!) to the Forum and other central campus buildings.

East Park is a little more expensive than some other options, so I’d recommend having a look at our Room Finder page and filtering by your preferences and budget - I’ve had friends in Lafrowda and Birks Grange who loved it there too. Definitely take a look at the virtual tours for any accommodations you’re considering as well to get a better feel for what they’re like. All on-campus accommodations are within around a 25 minute max walking distance to Amory and other relevant buildings. Hills are unfortunately pretty unavoidable on this campus but definitely manageable - accommodations on the east side of campus like East Park and Lafrowda might be preferable for you as you get to avoid the infamous Cardiac Hill!

Let me know if you have any more questions!

I actually can't remember which names are on which side, you can check on a map fairly easily (the more gentle incline is the side where the business school and forum are). Quickly looking at a map it looks like Lafrowda etc are that side, while Birks Grance etc are the other side.

I lived in private halls in the town centre (Northernhay House) the first year I was there as I got in via clearing and there were no uni halls left so I'm just generally familiar with the uni halls from coursemates who were in them
