I wonder if it got more competitive than last year ;(

Going by last year, offers should start coming in towards the end of March onwards so it might be another month to go. Unless they increased the number of places this year, the offer rate is likely to be pretty low this year as well !

Different courses at SOM have varying number of applications. This year SOM has already started sending out offers for Management Science which got around 800 applications last year vs 3000 for IM. Other mgt offers coming out doesn't necessarily mean IM offers are going to come at the same time. Second half of March/early April seems to be a realistic expectation. Any sooner would be a nice surprise.

i feel its gonna be one of the last courses to get back in the whole of the uk.
UCL in general are well known to make offers right up through May. This doesn't really have any correlation with how competitive a course is (I was applying to a very small/niche humanities course here for example and still got my offer in May). It's just a UCL thing

I think 13th May is the deadline for universities to send a decision to everyone who had applied by the 14th Jan equal consideration date

it just means the universities have to get back by 13th May at the latest. It doesn't mean you won't get an earlier response. In fact most universities send their decisions back before then. Some of them tend to move slower than others but at least you know you won't have to wait beyond 13th May to know the status of your application.

As above they have up until that date. Applying by the October deadline won't mean universities are required to reply earlier. Granted most unis do reply earlier but as I pointed out, UCL is quite known to send offers out right up until the deadline.

This is "confirmed", it's part of the UCAS process: https://www.ucas.com/advisers/help-and-training/key-dates-timeline

Any outstanding applications which have not had a decision but did apply by the 14th Jan deadline will be rejected by default at that point. So you will get a decision one way or another then if not earlier.

Last year the offers came out between around the 20th of March to mid April. That's the only data we have as that was the first time the course had been run. The equal consideration deadline this year was 2 weeks earlier than in 2025. That may or may not make a difference.

and do contextual come out first for this course.

I don't think anyone can give a definitive answer for a course that has had just one previous admissions cycle. It sometimes happens but no one can be sure. Just have to wait and watch what happens.

im assuming theyll start giving out some home/contextual offers this month and then start releasing more offers in batches towards the end of march or early april based on last years pattern
