Falmouth University Accommodation - What's it like sharing a room in Glasney Village?

If you have started to get offers from unis and are choosing your firm and insurance choices, you are likely also starting to explore accommodation choices. Since this is going to be a big issue on everyone's minds I wanted to share a little bit about my own experience in accommodation at Falmouth Uni. I hope that this can answer any questions you might be having and hopefully respond to any concerns you might be having in you find yourself sharing a room.

Our biggest accommodation is the Glasney Student Village, and one of the unique things about Falmouth Uni is that we have an accommodation option to share a room. The shared rooms have two single beds, which convert into desks, and an en-suite bathroom.

I understand that sharing a room is not for everyone, but for me the experience made my time in first year even better! I loved having a built in friend for all the things I wanted to do during fresher's week; me and my roommate did so much exploring and getting to know campus together. Sharing a room we built such a strong friendship, and both of us really improved our personal communication skills because of our close proximity to each other. Another positive aspect of living in a shared room is that it will be cheaper! Most peope are worried about money when coming to uni, and choosing the shared living option is a guaranteed way to save some money every term. This gives you a little bit of extra wiggle room when it comes to the fun things like nights out, beach trips, society trips, etc.
