Film (and other media related) extra-curriculars at Woodhouse and the LAEs
Hi there! I'm applying to Woodhouse and both LAEs, with Woodhouse being my first option, Stratford being my second and Tottenham being my third. Whilst I've chosen English Literature and Psychology, plus Classical Civilization (Woodhouse) or Economics and Politics (LAET), I do want to pursue a career in film, and in the general media industry in the future, and as well as the work I would obviously be doing outside of school, plus the film EPQ I'm planning on doing, I'm wondering if there is anything at these sixth forms? What opportunities are there at these sixth forms (as in extra curricular clubs, I'm aware there'll probably be little to no co-curriculars for film).
I do know that there is a World on Film club/society at LAES, however I'm not sure if this is film as in movies or film as in photography...(I'm guessing the latter, which would still be great tbh). LAES doesn't have their full list of clubs/societies though so it would be a great help if someone could shine light in this area?
I know that there is a film club at LAET but I believe it is one of the half-term long clubs that you do in Yr12 on rotation. Are there any opportunities to create your own student led societies?
And for Woodhouse, I know there is Woodhouse Plus but honestly I'm not the most clear on how that works, so if anyone could help with that, that would be great!
I also want to add that for wherever I have mentioned film opportunities, I would also be happy with other media related opportunities, I'd just prefer film if possible.
