Does Chemical Engineering do year abroad?
I got an offer from bath for chemical engineering meng, but I wanted to know if they offer a year abroad for it or if I should just switch to professional placement?

They don’t offer a year abroad as it is one of their most academic courses and as the professor said at the open day ‘years abroad are pointless’. Over 70% of students do a year in industry I think as to get a job after graduating it is almost essential as all employers want experience and bath is one of the best unis for placement year support. However you don’t have to make a decision now and can transfer onto the placement year as late as the end of year 2 I think. There are some placements that are abroad but either way you have to find the placement your self.
