Ppe ps help!!!!!1

I recently decided to change my mind on studying ECON at degree to PPE as I though its a lot more appealing. However, this means my supercurriculars are tailored towards ECON. Please tell me which ones to keep and which ones you would reccomend for PP:
In College:
UKMT Senior Maths Challenge (Silver)
UKMT Team Maths Challenge (12th)
College Team Maths Challenge (6th)
College Debate Competition (3rd)
M3 Modelling Team Challenge (TBD)
Vice President of College's Economics Society

Out of College:
Read 'How Markets Fail'
Read 'The Wealth of Nations'
Read 'Prisoners of Geography'
Read 'Globalisation and its Discontents'
Data Analyst Work Experience
Essay Competition (Topic TBD)
MOOC Econometrics

Hey, I assume you are in the UK and applying this September with this. I just received an offer to study PPE at Magdalen, Oxford and I switched from maths the previous year. Honestly, these things aren’t a huge deal in your application so I would absolutely prioritise getting a good score in your entrance exam above anything else. The best things you can do super curricular wise are things that you can actually talk about. Reading is okay but an essay competition is so much better to discuss. I was shortlisted in the John Locke and would really recommend that. Everyone can read and say what part they enjoyed but having an essay where you can say what skills you developed and possibly even present new ideas is great. Also tutors will not care if you are more knowledgeable about one subject more than others as long as you are passionate (I had not really done anything on the PP part when I applied) but to be safe work on being interdisciplinary. Absolutely do an essay competition and see if you can answer using different analytical avenues. You passion is more important than anything so make sure you care about everything you write about (giving a wild personal theory in your personal statement is better than listing a bunch of maths competitions you did). Sorry for the ramble I just remember being stressed when I was in your situation. A summary though would be as long as you are enjoying the books and enjoying the competitions then that will reflect in your application and make you a much better candidate.

Hi, I'm in year 13 and was planning on PPE but changed my mind to judy philosophy. What you have so far is great for econ (I maybe wouldn't talk about the silver in the SMC because the 12th in the teams challenge shows the same skills but better). Try reading Plato's Republic or anything by John Stuart Mill as they are political philosophy. Also, Karl Marx's Communist Manifesto kind of combines the three.
Are u planning on applying to Oxford? If so, start practicing the TARA (they just got rid of the TSA).

Thanks, No i dont plan on applying oxford as of now. More likely LSE. I really like reading but i dont want to waste time, im assuming i should aim for an equal split between the P P E. Do you have a number of super curriculars I should aim for between the 3?
