MPhil in Real Estate Finance vs UCL MSc in Finance

Hello everyone,

Short background:

I have been given conditional offers for both UCL's MSc in Finance program, as well as the MPhil in Real Estate Finance at Cambridge for fall 2026 3 weeks ago. Nonetheless, I cannot make an exact choice yet, as my preference leans from one day to another.

As an idea, my idea would be to work either into the domain of asset management, or within the IB structures of large banks. I have a few domains that could be interesting to pursue into (including real estate): nonetheless, my main question was on whether it would be better to choose a program that is solely focused on real estate finance but coming from a high-prestige university, or if I should pursue a general program at an university that is still mainly considered as a target school.

Another factor would also be the place where I would like to work. I was thinking about opportunities in London, or Asia-Pacific (Australia, Singapore mostly).

Any help would be appreciated!
