a level options dilemma

okay so i have 2 questions.
1.) Is sociology and psychology a good combo to take? i understand they’re both content heavy and i need to remember all of these different people but like is it manageable or will i be too overwhelmed?

2.) i also understand that people don’t recommend to take econ and business together but like if it is my last resort should i still take it with either psych or socio. I don’t acc care about getting into the top unis, as long as the one i go is a good uni.
I’m also looking into apprenteships and i believe they are much more relaxed when it comes to a level options, as long as you get the grades. So if i take business and econ would it really matter?

What are you wanting to study at university/what kind of apprenticeship do you want to do?

I wouldn't take Economics and Business together, though you can definitely get into a good university if you do both.

Hi @anna_bA3. I was a former student so I have a lot of experience about these things. I would say Sociology and phycology combined is a very manageable and its also quite common. It will only become more stressful to you if you leave your revision too late. But if you keep on top of your revision then its fine. Also, both Economics and Business is often not liked by high ranked universities but it is not because it is not a good choice. However, the main thing here is choose subject that you are passionate about and actually enjoy! I hope this helped 😀

i’m not quite sure yet, however if i do an apprenticeship i’m think about project management but obviously i haven’t ruled out all my options yet. I would say i’m still exploring with what i would want to do in the future.

I would pick subjects you enjoy but also ones that allow flexibility, which I know is vague and probably not all that helpful.

Hi @anna_bA3 😊

It's amazing you are taking the time to research this and thinking carefully about your future! 🌟

Some useful information is:

Sociology and Psychology: They work well together and a lot students take them. They are quite content heavy but they are definitely manageable!

Business and Economics: Taking these together is good for most universities, including the University of Essex! I will attach our Business school which is really cool https://www.essex.ac.uk/departments/essex-business-school/undergraduate

💜 Overall, go with what feels right for you 💜

Sociology and psychology are a good combo to take. @always-anxious may be able to tell you more…
Taking econ and business together isnt advisable, it may limit your options.
What other subjects are you considering?

i’m really not sure what other subjects i would want to do that’s my problem. I know geography or maths would go well with these options but i don’t actually want to do those subjects.

Don't do them if you don't like them! Choose some subjects you enjoy
