SFE funding, 2nd degree AHP

Hi there,

I hold an ordinary degree in EEE, and plan to study a second degree in BSc Physiotherapy in either City St George’s or UEL starting September 2026.

My previous loan was Plan 2, and I also have a Plan 5 loan at almost £900 (from an Open University module).

I understand I would be eligible for tuition fee funding for the Physiotherapy degree but what about the maintenance loan?

Thanks

Hi there, pre-registration physiotherapy courses are normally exemption courses, which we do not take in to consideration any of your previous study, (as long as you are not already registered within the field). Stephen

Hi there! Thank you for your reply.
I was under the impression that pre-registration is only on Master’s degree level. BSc would count?

Hi dravenstorm,

Yes, this is still an exception to previous study an equal level qualification rules as it is an Allied Health Profession and attracts undergraduate funding.

Thanks, Clare

Thank you.
Could you please let me know when the PN1 forms for the academic year 2026/27 will be available? I know undergraduate applications open on the 23rd of March this year but I would not be able to apply online.

Hi there,

The 2026/27 PN1 will also become available on the 23rd of March. On that day, you'll be able to find the form here.

Thanks, Graeme
