Year 12 finance opportunities?!?!

Hi, im currently in year 12 studying maths, further maths, economics and history. Im doing many extra curriculars but am struggling with super curriculars relating to finance. Was wondering if anyone knows any courses, competitions, etc. I would love to do some form of program for finance now but struggling to find anything. Doesnt matter how long or short it would be.
Many thanks

Hy there,
There are like so many websites like openlearn and alison where you can do so many online courses. Also if you interested in maths there is somthing called oxford mathematics alphabet. I have used like alison and openlearn they have generally so many free courses. Also I think if you like search in google generally maybe there will be some kind of like specific programs which can interest you.
Hope this helps.

Hi @Jesspringle 😊

It is great to see that you are thinking of extracurricular activities! Your A-level choices give you a solid foundation for finance, and looking for super-curricular activities now will really help develop your understanding and confidence in the subject! ⭐️

To build your finance knowledge, you might explore short online courses (e.g. introductory finance and markets on Coursera, edX or FutureLearn), investment simulations or challenges, and broader reading such as The Financial Times or The Economist. These activities will give you practical insight into how financial markets and businesses operate, something that universities and future employers value highly.

At Essex Business School, we help students bridge academic theory with real-world practice, so you graduate ready for careers in banking, investment, consulting and beyond. Our undergraduate finance and banking programmes combine academic teaching with practical skills development, including access to industry tools like Bloomberg on our virtual trading floor, research-led teaching and opportunities to gain real workplace experience through placement years or internships.

If you have any questions, please let me know and good luck with your studies!🍀
