uni interview

hello everyone, I am applying for a diagnostic radiogrophy course.
I have never been in an interview before, so I don't really know what it will be like.

I am stressing in a way as I have no one to advise me on how the interview will go.

should I
prepaid anything?
learn something?
revice something?
I'm not sure. please, any advice will be useful

Hey, I've had 3 interviews so far and have more upcoming! What unis are you applying for? For your interview, it's best to do research about diagnostic radiography so that you can fully understand the role like look at the skills, responsibility needed, what it involves, and the NHS values, they will be useful. Good luck 🙂

hi playmouth, countebry abd bristol uni... these are the ones... playmouth is my first choice... what about u?🙃
could you please give examples of qwestions they asked you. and do I need to know my biology and chemistry knowledge well, or will they not ask me anything related to my A levels?

I have seen vedios of someone asking about the function of the liver( that might have been medical uni... I'm not sure)

please tell me whether they do ask things like that or they just want to know how interested and how much you know about what you are applying for?

Well I got rejected from Salford and Lincoln cuz they didn't like my interview, unfortunately I've not applied to same ones as you tho. Examples of questions they could ask is why do you want to study radiography, what skills do you have, how are you going to manage student life, experiences in healthcare. They won't ask you anything from A levels they just to see how much you know about radiography and why your suitable. Hope that helps 💕 I've got 2 more interviews to go, wish me luck and also hope yours goes well!!

Hi @lisa786 ,

Ahh I'm so sorry to hear that - our Radiography course is a really competitive programme that we get lots of applications for, so please don't feel disheartened!

Good luck for your two remaining interviews, I hope they go well! Fingers crossed for you 🤞

All the best,

Hello,

I don’t do radiography but you definitely need to prepare for the interviews, I advice you to read through the 6 C’s which is important in healthcare fields, the NHS values. More generally, think about what motivates you to be a radiographer.

thank you!
I will give them a read.

also, I already know a lot about radiogrophy as I have gone through multiple diagnostic scans myself and did work experience, which hopefully will help me in the interview.
