Got rejected from Edinburgh because I didn't fill fee status

Hi, so I got an email from Edinburgh to fill the fee status questionnaire and I saw it on that day but the website was in maintenance that day so I forgot about it later on. 8 days later, I get an update on UCAS saying I got rejected from Edinburgh for this reason. Is it over and should I just leave it or can I overturn this decision? Looks like a silly reason to reject me since they didn't even send follow up emails to fill the questionnaire and I didn't know you could get rejected for it. I can't even login to the portal since I didn't register for it. Anybody has had this happen before to them?

I assume there was a deadline to return the fee form, which you then missed? If so, a bit harsh, but fair and definitely not silly - they get dozens of applicants a place, they need to reject a lot of students and by not giving them the info they needed, you regrettably made it easy for them to put you in the reject pile.

There's basically nothing you can do now, except to ensure you reply to your other uni's requests for more info the minute you get them. If you can't because their website is on maintenance or not working for whatever reason, set an alarm reminding you to do it the day after.
