Lse 2026

Wondering if anyone has got an offer from LSE yet or if you know if they have started to give out offers for 2026 entry?

No they mostly haven't, chill. They start to give out offers around mid-end of February all the way up until May.

was the epq significant in you getting accepted as im in y12 and don't do an epq and i'm worried my application might be affected next year.

I don't really know to be honest, I feel in my situation it helped for applying to other joint honours courses as it showed interest in those other areas. But I think I depends on what course you want to do, it did take quite a bit of time to do and I only got one reduced offer from it. I don't know how it works for you but we could start it and drop out if we didn't think it was working. But honestly don't worry if you're not doing it, there are other ways to show interest in a subject, especially if your school doesn't offer it!

tbh i'm split between law and ppe. if it helps my gcses are 9999999977 with a 9 in maths and i expect i'll be predicted 3a*s in maths politics economics. honestly i'll just apply to which course my grades give me the best chance of getting into (any advice on this and whether i'd be competitive for these courses would be MUCH appreciated). as for supercurriculars i'm going to talk to someone involved in hedge funds at blackrock, an analyst at bloomberg and also rodrigo de castro who was president of brazil's state owned bank caixa and later a federal deputy (would these be useful in a personal statement?) i can see how these might be useful in a ppe personal statement, although please correct me if i'm wrong, but i don't know if they would be in a law one. i do pay very close attention to current affairs, and everyday i read bbc, the times, the ft, the economist, bloomberg which i expect helps with ppe but i just don't know for law. ultimately what i care most about is getting into the university regardless of the course as lse is my dream uni, but any advice on other supercurriculars i could do (as i just can't seem to find actual work experience) or any other ways of becoming more competitive would be amazing. sorry for such a long post though!

I know this sounds cliche but I'd say apply to the course that you find most interesting, easy to say I know! It seems at the moment like your supercurriculars lean more towards ppe, they sound very good by the way. You still have a lot of time do to supercurriculars though, I didn't do some of mine until the summer of year 12 so don't feel like you have to be 100% on the course that you want to apply to, as the supercurriculars can help you figure this out. You might feel drawn to a particular area. It can help to make a list of them to see how your interests have developed overtime. I did this and I feel like it helped to show the progression of my interest in the subject over time, as well as making my personal statement sound more coherent. Lse do talks as well, which can be useful to include, these are in person and online! I don't know if you'd be eligible for this but some law firms do work experience in the summer of year 12 through something called the PRIME commitment. Hope this helps!

thanks so much! do you think my grades make me competitive by the way, and what did you do for international relations? it seems like an interesting course and one that i would also be open to. i do need to narrow it down though as you can see i'm quite indecisive! i'm not eligible for any of the prime work experiences though.

Yeah I think your grades would be competitive, I'm pretty sure most unis contextualise your grades in relation to your school, so it would depend on that, but either way I think you'd be fine. In my personal statement I mentioned a couple of university summer schools I did, some books I read, and lse talk on ai in relation to the American elections, a bit of law work experience I did, and some other random irrelevant extracurriculars not really related to the course. I did mention my epq a little but this was more on law so not that much. I was considering applying for law at one point too, which is evident in some of the supercurriculars!
