Oxford Brookes changed choice?

Okay so before I start I do intend to call them tomorrow and ask about it because ultimately they’ll know all the answers.

So I applied for the life sciences foundation year at oxford brooke’s with the intention of studying Mental Health Nursing once I completed the foundation year.

Oxford brooke’s have come back, and instead of offering me a place or an interview they’ve changed the foundation year to Adult Nursing (Entry level not foundation which i’m choosing to take as a compliment)

For context my grades are awful, I got an E in Psychology (maybe why they’ve given me adult not mental health), a D in Drama and an A in health and social care. (Before I face judgement my teacher was out for most of the first year and some of the second in drama with no specific replacement & in psych there were issues, but ultimately I just did badly, I accept my failings)

I was just wondering if it was worth it by any measure to call them about it? The optimist in me wants to hope they put me on adult not mh because they didn’t know I wanted to do mental health, but the realist in me knows it’s bc of my psych grade. So.. is it worth it to call them? I wouldn’t be against doing Adult nursing it’s just not fully where my passions at, but this uni means a lot to me.

Also.. the reason I applied for the life sciences foundation is because I didn’t have the best grade in psych, but the foundation year they offer isn’t specific to mh nursing, so I thought maybe that could be a reason?
