For the SMC I was in ur exact same situation last year, and got 88(kangaroo qual and then silver, not good or significant), and then brushed up on theory and got 118 on IMC.
But I'm a year 8, with a lot less math experience compared to you, so don't take this very seriously.
For the SMC, if ur already strong at Algebra, then I don't reccomend doing any more theory and use the dr frost problem trainer(difficulty 3 or 4) to constantly practice algebra.
For Geometry,
AoPS Introduction to Geometry should suffice as well as learning slightly advanced theorems such as Law of Sines and Cosines.
For Combinatorics(the triangle thing), try the first 6 chapters of:
AoPS Counting and Probability, and then use the dr frost Problem Trainer to practice as this never shows up on GCSE.
For Number Theory, just doing problems will suffice as there isn't much NT in the SMC.
Did you take IMC this year? If so, what score did you get? Just to sort of get a feel for how much you improved between SMC and now?
The introduction ukmt books aren't very much of an introduction at all, they are all geared toward BMO1 prep itself, sometimes even BMO2 prep.
At this stage, you shouldn't really be doing them, but it never hurts to look.
