Hi, I have literally no idea how long I should leave to revise for the UCAT. I have mocks some time in June, but would prefer to sit the actual test before I go on holiday at the end of July so I don't need to stress. Some websites say 6 weeks before, some say 4- 6 months and I just don't know. I guess some of them are trying to push paid things onto you which is maybe why they say longer.
Does anyone have any tips on balancing the revision for that alongside mocks/schoolwork (as i know mock grades will be very important) and other commitments and also how much I should be doing a day when it gets closer to the thing?
Thank you!

6-8 weeks is usually ideal. Beyond that makes it more likely for you to burn out and your performance may drop. It's not the same for everyone but this is what's been recommended in the past.

Alongside mocks, doing a little bit of UCAT prep often more to help you get accustomed to the layout and structure of the subtests should be useful. You can slowly build it up in the lead up to the UCAT. It depends on when you book the UCAT for, as you can plan around it.

I’m finding the UCAT so hard when revising. I’ve watched videos and have greatly improved my dm score to nearly 80% every time but I am bad at maths so QR is either my best section or worse. VR is too hard cause I’ve seen some ppl say to read the whole passage and some say to only skim for key words. SJT is so hard to get a good score cause even if u know if it’s a good or bad thing to do, it’s hard to tell how good or how bad. Any tips or resources to help me score 2400+. I’m thinking of taking the exam in August

For VR, it really is a matter of building your own technique. Getting lots of practice and reflecting on ways you can improve is the way to go. I used to go through Wikipedia articles to practice also. For key words, start off with ones that have capital letters (like names of people and places) and dates then find more to pay attention to as you practice. Take it a step a time. There's so many techniques out there, but you need to build one that works best for you

SJT is also practice, find patterns and similar scenarios that lead you to a particular answer. Try your best not to get overwhelmed, you've got this :jumphug:
