Made wrong choices for unis I’ve applied 😔

Hello, I feel like I’ve made the wrong decisions with the unis I’ve applied, I submitted my application quite close to the deadline and made some pretty rash decisions out of panic. The main course I want is international development with economics at Bath which I removed from my shortlist last minute 😀🔫 and now I’m not sure what to do as it’s past two week submission period to withdraw and reapply to another course and even then past the equal consideration deadline as well. I’m really lost on what to do, wondering if there’s anyway around this and if I should contact Bath about my situation or do I just have to accept that course is gone. Ps I am already currently on a year out and finding it pretty rough so would preferably start uni this year if possible. Thank you for reading ❤️

You can contact Bath or go through clearing
Many courses stay open after the equal consideration deadline. First step is to contact Bath and see if they’re still open to applications. If not, then there’s nothing you can really do apart from checking during clearing, (which would be unlikely if they’ve closed early).

Hello thank you for replying, yeah I was thinking of doing that however since it’s past the deadline for me to swap out one of my choices idk how I would go about doing it

You’d need to decline all your existing offers and use UCAS Extra. But it’s only an option if the course is still open.

Hi, yes I just contacted Bath admissions and they told me to do exactly this. They also said the course is also still accepting late applications so will likely go into extra. Thank you so much for your help ❤️

Good to hear. Just bear in mind that if you accept an Extra offer you won’t have the option of picking an insurance choice.

This isn’t necessarily the end of the world - few people end up at their insurance choice, and Bath sounds like your priority.
