A level biology tips

Hi,
I have my biology exam in June and I am really stressing out right now. Does anyone have any tips on how to get better at maths, comprehension and application questions? E.g. any good YouTube videos to watch etc

Hi,

I’d recommend using the specification and using RAG (red, amber, green) to identify any weak areas first. To improve with application questions, watching Miss Estruch videos can be really helpful, alongside completing topic-by-topic questions on Physics and Maths Tutor. Make sure you look closely at the mark schemes to see exactly what examiners are asking for and how answers are structured.

For maths, practise regularly and focus on units, graphs, and rearranging equations, as these come up a lot in exams.

If you do need extra support, don’t hesitate to ask your teachers for help or consider getting support from a tutor to target specific areas you’re struggling with.

Hope this helps, good luck with your studies!

Hey!
I completely get you, maths doesnt come easy to me. But honestly practice is perfect with it. Learn how to identify stats test you would use and why you would use them.
About application qs, you immediately presume that application qs are completely separate, but I often find that if I am getting application qs wrong, its actually cause I dont know the content.
If you are sure that you do, then its all about practice- dont actually do the questions but go through and identify which spec point it is linking to!
