MPharm Bradford Interview TIPSS!!!

Hi All,

My interview for the Uni of Bradford MPharm course is coming up very soon!
Does anyone have any tips to success for this interview as it’s my first of the cycle and I’m looking to have this uni as my insurance!

Do let me know how you found your interviews if you had them for this uni, what courses did you apply for and how it went!!

Did anyone get an offer following the interview?

Thanks for the tips guys! Really appreciated!

Ofccc - mine is on the 25th of Feb - it’s my first one of the interview cycle so I’m quite scared since I’m so introverted😓

Best thing to do is to remain calm and take a moment to think when asked a question if you need to, so its okay to feel nervous and it is completely natural to feel that way, and the interviewers will know this.

Hi,

For any pharmacy school interview, I’d recommend reviewing why you want to study pharmacy, why you chose that university, going over GPhC standards, and practising situational judgement/ethical scenarios. It’s also useful to revise organic chemistry (e.g., chemical structures, functional groups) and basic pharmaceutical calculations.

Hope this helps, good luck to everyone applying!

Hi @Smzgaming616
As a radiography student at Bradford I don't have much knowledge about pharmacy, however some good tips for any university interview are to think about why you want to study this course and why you want to go to this university. Interviewers like to hear you understand what the subject entails, and that you have researched the university. If you have any questions about the University of Bradford, feel free to ask me anything!
Good luck with your interview!

Thank you so much for replying!! What does it mean when Bradford says they have a 80-90% chance of offer after interviews? How does this relate to getting an offer and what does it mean exactly if you can explain it?

Do you have any tips of overcoming anxiety on the day, for example stopping stuttering and blanking out when asked a question?

Is the interview timed (Atleast for you)? Ive heard people getting cut off mid question and not being able to answer due to the time, I’m scared of that happening to me espically during my why pharm and not being able to show everything and then loose my flow.

Is the interview process scaled in terms of a score you must meet to get an offer? For example 90 is the threshold for an offer gou must get. What do they assess, for example communication etc?

I apologise for all the questions as I’m sure you are busy, I will appreciate your time!

Thanks!!

Hi @Smzgaming616
To be entirely honest with you I have not heard of this 80-90% chance of offer after interviews, I would assume it means 80-90% of people who get an interview get offered a place however this seems quite high so I am not too sure about that - sorry!
As for overcoming anxiety and blanking out (something I struggle with myself) my best tip is to make notes of things you want to say during the interview and read over these in the days coming up to the interview, particularly the morning of.
I'm not sure if you will have seen this already, but this page on the University of Bradford site may help with knowing what to expect: https://www.bradford.ac.uk/undergraduate/applicants/selection-interview/
No need to apologise at all, I hope your interview goes well!
