Study Session 11 | STEM vs Humanities

Welcome to TSR Study Together - STEM vs Humanities. This is a supportive and social environment to study alongside other students and keep yourself motivated. :yep:

This is the 11th session that will run between 18:00 and 20:00.

You can find more info on how it works here: https://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/showthread.php?t=7643445

I am flowersinmyhair and I am on a gap year having studied biology for a year so I could apply for paramedic science. I have two unconditional offers and I studied biology, geography and RS at A-level.

Here are a few ice-breaker questions for you to answer:
1) Are you Team STEM or Team Humanities?
2) What subjects are you studying?
3) What are your goal(s) for this evening's study session?
4) How are you feeling about the week ahead?

Happy Studying! :woo:

I'm TLG, team humanities, music specifically. Today I hope to time my conference paper to see how over the 20-min time limit it is :eek2: Then might start trimming it down.

I'm here with Hotel Chocolat and the seemingly-now-inevitable pack of Cadbury's Mini Eggs :yep:

Happy study session everyone :woo:

So many tests coming up for everyone! Good luck to all. Keep calm and carry on :yep:

I've decided to work the other way round (cutting down, then reading aloud, rather than vice versa). Already cut about 150 words, whilst keeping an important quotation that I do want to keep in full :beard:

:tumble:

Got my conference paper down to bang on 2,500 words! It's amazing how many superfluous words I write :getmecoat:

That should be short enough now :yeah: Will time myself reading it aloud after having some celebratory Hotel Chocolat :yay:
I have finished my tea (it was a roast dinner and now I'm watching TV)
Half an hour to go! How is everyone getting on?
How has everyone got on?

Ooops, sorry, I wandered away from TSR! I'm pleased with what I managed today! And I didn't even use any Hotel Chocolat or Mini Eggs to do the work :headfire: The world as we know it may be ending :eek3:

:teehee:

Well done to everyone, hope you achieved your goals. Have a great week :h:
