SOAS vs Cambridge for Postgraduate Medical Anthropology

I know it sounds like a no brainer but I am struggling to decide between Cambridge MPhil Health Medicine and Society and SOAS MA Medical Anthropology and Mental Health.

SOAS's department is perfect for me research interest wise and I would find it really exciting to move to London. I also would really like a good community vibe and am worried about the competitive and high intensity work culture at Cambridge.

but obviously Cambridge is Cambridge so it is hard to discount... I would really appreciate any insight from anyone who has done a postgrad degree at either of these places!!

Hi there,
We have had the same exact question asked before but I have provided the link to that thread here.

I hope this helps,

Hey may I ask if you're applying for 2026-27. And if so when did you get interviewed and how long did you wait till your offer.
