Hi, do you mind asking the other apprentices about their experience with the application process and the work they have been doing on the degree apprenticeship

Hiya, I was going to start completing the application, but I noticed a section asking about university/college experience and grades. I have not studied at that level, as I am applying for the Level 4 apprenticeship, I can't just lie about doing a degree, so I am unsure what to enter in that section. Thanks!

Hi, I've just asked one of the apprentices in the program you're interested in, they said, in the beginning it was lots of scripting and ramp up, which I can definitely relate to, for a month or two it felt like I was dropped in the deep end, with lots to learn and as if I knew nothing, but the team you are in will ramp you up and you'll get into the swing of things pretty quickly! As for the scripting, I can also relate, one of my first solo projects in the team was an automation script to help my team perform a manual task automatically much faster and easier. For the actual work side of things some technical verilog which you could definitely be looking at now if you want a head start! However it is very varied per team. Across the 3 year degree apprenticeship you go into a different team each year, so you can work on what interests you! If you have any other questions fire away.

Hello @jetbeg, had a quick question regarding the application process. So far I've applied a couple days ago but how long does it usually take between application stages. Like, how long can it take from getting an interview to then being offered a place in an Assessment centre.

Hi! Thanks for applying!

So, for me last year, I applied late January (Jan 28th) and I heard back for the first stage by March 10th, this was a for a HireVue interview. Then I heard about getting to the final stage on the 8th of April. Throughout the whole process they gave updates with when id hear back from them by and things like that, they were very transparent the whole time.

If you need anything else, feel free to message 🙂 Good luck!

Hi, this section of the application is required to understand if people are eligible for the apprenticeship funding. We get a variety of applicants for apprenticeships from college leavers to career switches so don't worry too much.

Appreciate the reply, to add so once you actually submit the application it usually takes a month or so to potentially get an interview slot. Atm for me I applied about a week ago.

Yeah that seems about right. Arm, compared with other companies seems to do the application cycle far later in the academic year. It may be slightly different this year (as its different every year) but I would hold out for about a month at least 🙂
