RS, got a 9: Honestly, it depends on your exam board. I do not know how much advice I can give other than constant repetition of past paper questions for this one! Do feel free to tap into other exam boards' past paper questions. I know this is often argued against because not each exam board has the same specification (so do double check!), it can be absolutely worthwhile. Absolutely do remember your definitions. Probably the easiest marks to get and yet so many overlook them. I cannot stress this enough. Depending on your exam board (I did eduqas, which does not necessarily have a very strict mark scheme in my opinion, unsure how it differs to OCR) definitions make an insane difference.

Eng. lang, got a 9: I did the same exam board as you for both English subjects so my advice could help a bit more. Practice past papers, and look at model answers for grade 9 responses for the writing parts! It should introduce you to valuable techniques you may be able to integrate into your own work. Research some synonyms you could use, and, at the start of your exam, write down every type of punctuation you can think of and treat it as a checklist at the top of your page. The examiners reward you for using a variety. Seems easy to remember but, amidst the GCSE pressure, it is very easy to forget. Make sure you know where to use semicolons especially! It is a common error to misplace them!

Eng. lit, got an 8: I feel as though the savemyexams notes can help a lot on the poetry. Otherwise... Absolutely scourge the internet, any website you can access freely for alternative interpretations of quotes or poetry. It genuinely help so much to be given a fresh perspective from other professionals. That is all I can truly say. BUT! If your english teacher is willing (which they should be, really!), do make practice essays and show them to get some more advice. You should ideally be committing to a practice essay atleast once a week depending on how much you struggle with English and how much time your other subjects take up. Time is very scarce.
