Dental therapy and hygiene Huddersfield

Hello I’ve got an interview coming up in two days and any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated, especially since they’re apparently rejecting everyone during the first stage.
If anyone is currently studying healthcare courses at Huddersfield could you let me know what it’s like as it’s my first choice but I’m hearing mixed opinions about job prospects afterwards and the teaching quality despite the professors I met being really nice
Thank you!

Hey im currently.studying fot MSci Social Work at Hudds. I know you asked for any healthcare students input but we do share the majority of our modules with health and social care students. I was very dismissive about Hudds when I was younger and actually scoffed at the idea of doing a degree there. However, I can honestly say that the standard of teaching I have engaged with is excellent; the lecturers are first class and the pastoral suppprt is also very good. I can honestly say that I haven't any complaints and our cohort has thrived in a progressive, challenging and committed learning environment. Students of social work have excellent prospects and employability after graduation appears to be high but if anyone can contribute who has experience of the course you are interviewing for then I really hope they also have found the teaching as beneficial to them as I have. Good luck!

It is a brand new course that has only just started and will only be a small course with less students on. Every course has job prospects implications afterwards, this course can be rewarding and very beneficial for the right candidates who want to do the course because they want to be in this field. Everyone is different a d everyone has opinions. They do the interviews in 2 stages, so you get called for the second stage after being successful in the first one. Seemed like a great new course!

Awful there was 12 of us and they asked us one question and rejected us based off of it and then we had a group scenario and apparently we all did well in it. My friend had one too and everyone from her group got rejected too so please don’t stress too much about it because I don’t know why they’re being so rough with everyone

Was it a written question that was asked or did everyone have to voice their answer?

Both written independent tasks that they literally skim over and not read properly (so looking for key words) and then a group activity
