NHS LSF payment term help?

Hi. Can I just ask… the NHS LSF, is it paid for the previous term or the term starting? Sorry I don’t know how to explain it. So for example a student starts in September, they get the first LSF payment in November, was that payment to cover September and October? Or is it to cover December, Jan and Feb until the next LSF payment in march?

Hi there. Typically you get £5000 for the NHS LSF per Academic Year. So, it's 3 payments per year and this is to cover the full Academic Year. Thanks, Leah.

The NHS LSF instalments are paid in arrears towards the end of each term. You can spend it how and when you, but I would advise you to save some so that you have a 'float' for when you have to book and pay for additional accommodation for placements in advance.
