AS Spanish

Hello y'all I would like to self study AS level Spanish ( AQA) as my sixth form doesn't offer it as a proper subject but I loved it as gcse.

For context I got a grade 7 in gcse and I loved studying it. I get the, exams, will be different with different topics
I think one of the main things that I might struggle with that I also struggled with is grammar.

What can I do in order to maximize my chances of getting a high grade in it?

I also do A level english lit, geography and psychology so a lot of writing aha

I wouldn't do it if I were you. You're already doing three A-levels, which is a handful - no need to try to take Spanish AS too so you have more stresses. I perfectly understand the allure of learning languages and if you enjoyed Spanish, I think you totally should continue to learn it, but the truth is that without proper support you will struggle a lot to do well in the exams. Maybe with past papers and studying you could deal with the grammar, but you will need to practice your Spanish with a speaking assistant in order to do well on the speaking exam (and to an extent the listening exam).

I think it's just a big faff and a whole lot of extra stress so if I were you, I'd definitely try to continue learning Spanish, I just wouldn't give myself the pressure of trying to sit the exams while doing 3 other A-levels.
