esat scores

i applied to imperial for mech eng and do chem maths physics a levels predicted A A*A*
i got a 2.1, 3.1 and 3.8 in maths 2, physics and maths 1.
ik im going to get rejected so i wanted advice on whether i should firm i won’t be going imperial but ive been wanting to go there since forever or should i take a gap yr and reapply cause i also applied to dyson apprenticeship and that would’ve been my top choice but i got rejected too
pls give me advice i feel super duper sad

i got 4 4 2 in my ESAT, quite disappointed but remember the only thing giving me hope is the fact that the ESAT is only one part of your application. Imperial do state specifically that a low score doesn’t mean rejection and a high score doesn’t mean acceptance. If your personal statement, predicted grades and references are all outstanding, then maybe there is hope. A gap year would only be ideal if you’re certain you can improve next time.
