Crash higher Spanish or business

So I’m doing my S6 options and I can only choose between H Spanish or H business and I’m currently doing H French and I got like 72% on the prelim and I’ve always preferred Spanish over French but I don’t know how difficult it would be to crash higher but I’m worried if I do business it will be really boring….
I’m wanting to do AH art AH math and H history so I’m between Spanish and business

Hi. I've not done a language at Higher, but I'm currently crash-highering Business, so I can comment on that.

Business is a relatively 'easy' subject to crash Higher in the sense that there's a lot of memorisation and not too much builds on Nat 5 knowledge (and even when it does, it's not essential to your understanding of the Higher content).

If you've done humanities subjects at Nat 5 (e.g., modern studies or RMPS), then you'll probably find the question structures pretty easy to pick up too.

However, what matters more is that you're studying a subject that you enjoy. Especially in S6 as it's your last year of secondary school. So if you believe that you'd enjoy Spanish and dislike Business, then I recommend you go with Spanish.

And to ease your worries about crash-highering a language, I know plenty of people who are crashing Higher French and are at the very least passing, none of whom have done a Nat 5 or a Higher in another language.

I hope this helps, and if you have any more questions, feel free to ask me. 😊

From my analysis you should crash higher spanish because it has a whooping more than 50 percent A grade pass rate. More than half of Scotland got grade statistically if they did spanish. Thats record breaking marks. Youre chances of getting grade A at spanish is like more than flipping a coin and landing in the side you want. My conclusive analysis is crash higher spanish if you want to get grade A easily and your passion seems more toward spanishh. Bussiness is tough and boring for some people

Crash higher spanish because you have more than 50 percent chance of getting an A.
