I just feel like for everyone else they are doing well with their subjects and they have picked ones that are actually useful for A-Level. I don't want to go to university really but I have put in applications as a backup. I really want to do an apprenticeship in either railways or something computing related but there just doesn't seem to be any. Everyone else I know seems to be able to find these apprenticeships so easily and I check every day and there is still absolutely nothing. My subjects, I feel, don't have any worth and come across to me as a waste of time. I won't give up on these subjects and I will try my hardest to succeed in these but it just feels demoralising knowing I could have made such a better use of my time at sixth form if I had just changed my subjects back in year 12. I wish I did geography instead of criminology. I wish I did computer science instead of photography. I wish I picked more STEM stuff. The only subject that I do that has some sort of use is BTEC IT and even then it's basically the same as GCSE Computer Science according to someone in the class. I can't go back and do this now and I really want to avoid having to do an extra college course for a further two years to actually get an a-level or level 3 qualification in these subjects.
