For molecules like phenyl benzenecarboyxlate, how am I supposed to know its drawn like that.

The name should indicate to you that it’s an ester.

The first bit of the name comes from the alcohol, so we know that C6H5O- must form part of the structure as the “alcohol” is phenol.

The second bit of the name comes from the carboxylic acid, so we know that C6H5CO- must form part of the structure as the carboxylic acid is benzenecarboxylic acid (a.k.a. benzoic acid).

Hence, the structure is C6H5COOC6H5
