should i quit my job before a-levels?

i work a 6 hour shift every week and im wondering what the general consensus is of working throughout a-level exam season.
im thinking it may be beneficial to me to quit but i would love to hear other ideas/experiences with this.

It may depends on how many days you do? How far is the travel? Do you care much for social life? How good are you at studying? How many days do you have classes?

Cause in my own opinion, it would be good having regular income for yourself.

What I would suggest is that you perhaps continue with your part-time job and see how you cope with doing it alongside your A LEVELS....... If you are only working a weekend then definitely keep your part-time job on as it give you a break away from your studying.
If you are not coping with doing both things then obviously give up your part-time job as you can always apply again later on ( obviously explain reasons you leaving 😭 😭).

I know you are younger than me but when I was 16 I had a part-time job working in retail ( large name supermarket) and I got through my exams without giving it up plus when I was at the age of leaving school I went full-time with them and did so for at least another 9 years because I was offered a place at university for midwifery for three years but because I already had a job with them I was able to go down to part-time and I was able to do that alongside my midwife degree and I have bought qualified for many years now and I still work for the supermarket.....
It's doable but give it a go first and then you'll know if you can do both okay.....

Everyone is different when doing school/college/ university exams and working part-time as well - the vast majority of people can cope with doing both and yes you'll have a small percentage of people who can't cope.

Heya! (:

I generally work ~14 hrs a week during uni and then more in the summer, ive found it really beneifical for me to plan out my week in advance, add my shifts into this so i can account for time at work to ensure im not rushing with coursework or exam dates😊

It's very much doable to work during busy exam periods and still have a decent work/life balence - but if you dont necessarily need to or need that money/experience, then it could give you that bit more time for study - generally depends on you & your time management!

Could also limit your hours, perhaps? - for me i usually dont do any overtime during exams and try to stick with a routine for work and find that to work well 🙃

I would keep it on.
I did a part time job throughout my a-levels. I know of a lot of others who did as well.
If you only do 1 6 hour shift a week then you will be fine.
You could always use your holidays to book time off during exam season if you wanted to.
