Exam adjustments and access arrangements

Exam adjustments and access arrangements can be put in place for students who have any form of substantial impairment which limits their ability to demonstrate their knowledge during exams. These adjustments are put in place to prevent a student being at an unfair disadvantage but it is also important to understand that they also do not provide an advantage to students who have them.

What exam access arrangements are available to me?

The exam access arrangements which your school may be able to provide for you depends on what evidence you have of your impairment and how you normally work in lessons and class tests. The adjustments available to you will depend on your own individual needs, see below what adjustments you might be able to access based on your needs:

I struggle with reading due to my disability, what support is available for me in exams?

I struggle with writing due to my disability, what support is available for me in exams?

I struggle with concentration due to my disability, what support is available for me during exams?

I have a mental health condition, what support is available for me during exams?

I have a health/medical/physical condition, what support is available for me during exams?

I have a diagnosis/referral for ASD/autism, what support is available for me during exams?

I have a diagnosis/referral for ADHD, what support is available for me during exams?
