University insurance choice

Hi, i have recieved 5 offers from Uni of Leeds, Uni of Notts, Uni of Liverpool, Newcastle Uni and East Anglia. I have got a contextual offer of ABB from Leeds aslong as i firm choice it so that is my firm, however i dont know what to pick for insurance as it is my joint lowest offer with east anglia. Basically, do i have a chance of getting in at newvastle or liverpool if i say got ABC in real exams with both being an AAB offer, if no then should i put east anglia as my insurance or should i have no insurance and hope for clearing?
Thanks.

It's early to be deciding. Have you been to offer-holders days?

Which is your favourite course - that's your firm. Which other one do you prefer - that's your insurance.

Hi there,

Like the other commenter said, look around the universities and go for your favourite course and other factors for your insurance choice!

I'd really recommend having a detailed look at the courses, look through the individual modules, even the same degree will have quite a lot of variation in what they teach, think about what you're most interested in and then what works the best for you. What degrees are you applying for? I can see that you're taking biology A-level, so for example, some biology degrees may be more microbiology focused, whereas others may lean more towards ecology or human biology etc!

Consider the cities you'd be studying in too, and what they might be like to study in- what are you looking for in a city or your university life? Do you want a university with a good nightlife or are you not fussed by clubbing? Would you prefer a more metropolitan feel or a smaller city? And the uni itself, do you prefer a campus or a city uni?

If you can, it is totally worth visiting each of the universities, that way you can get a proper feel for the university and the city, you can speak to the course staff and lecturers about each of the modules, and see what feels right for you!

If you'd like some more specific UEA advice, I can try my best to give you some- please let me know if you have any questions about the uni or the course you're doing, or how I made my choice of universities, I'd be happy to help you!
