With predicted ABB, you’re not behind at all; that’s a strong profile for Law, and you’re smart for building a balanced list.
If you want a solid option where your grades match and you’ll still get great support, have a look at Canterbury Christ Church University for LLB Law. It’s a supportive uni, you’ll get real skills employers care about (writing, argument, problem-solving), and it’s a great choice if you want a confident “this is realistic and worth it” option alongside your ambitious picks.
My quick tip for your 5 choices:

1–2 ambitious, 2 matching, 1 safer. ABB can absolutely sit in the “matching” category. You can visit our course page to know more about the Law Programme we offer on this link- Law - Canterbury Christ Church University

Hi! I’m Lucy, a first year law student at Swansea! It is so good that you are already considering your options whilst you are in year 12, it’ll give you a good headstart when it comes to applying! Being predicted ABB is an amazing achievement, so well done and don't ignore how impressive that is. Here at Swansea the entry requirements for law range from AAB-CCC, taking into account all elements of your application! And is top 125 in the world for law The Times Higher Education World University Rankings by Subject 2025).

I’d love to tell you a bit about my experience with the uni! The law school has been incredibly supportive, especially with employability and work experience links. My lecturers are all very approachable and helpful when answering questions. And I look forward to opportunities later on in the course, like our Law Clinic which is a unique way to get involved and develop practical skills.

Outside of law, I have had the best time! Being so close to the beach has really inspired me to be more active and appreciate the beautiful surroundings we have around us. I've started hiking, exploring local waterfalls and I am even learning how to surf. Along with this, living on campus has enabled me to make and meet so many new friends; and allowed me to move away from home while still being in a safe and supportive atmosphere.

So overall, if you are looking for a fun yet prestigious university I really feel Swansea would be worth considering. We have a few open days coming up, the earliest being 28th February which may help you to see if Swansea is the university for you!

If you have any other questions let me know and I’ll be happy to help! I wish you the best for your studies, and good luck for the future!

Hi @ash_jts ,

Please don't be disheartened - ABB are excellent predicted grades and keep many options open for you! As the others have outlined below, it's best to have 1-2 ambitious university options (you've still got a long time to progress before your Year 13 exams!), some matching and some safer options. At the University of Law, our grade requirements for an LLB are currently BBB - if you're looking to stay close to Nottingham, the ULaw Nottingham campus may be the ideal place for you 😊

The professional, career-focused approach at ULaw is amazing if you're seeking a long-term career in law. Most lecturers are either practising or retired lawyers, meaning you'll often hear interesting stories of how topics apply in real life, and the mix of factual scenario and essay questions are great for developing both your critical thinking and practical application of the law. You can find out more about the LLB course here.

However, if you're not completely certain that you want to pursue a legal career, it's worth noting that an LLB isn't the only route into law - you could always study another degree with different entry requirements (such as English Literature or Politics) and then, if you still want to do law, do a postgraduate conversion course. This is what I'm doing now after a social sciences degree, and I've found that the skills and experiences I gained throughout my undergraduate years have certainly helped me to bring a unique perspective to law. However, if you're set on studying law now, definitely go with the LLB!

Good luck with your applications and let me know if you have any further questions.

Hi there, firstly, well done on being so organised looking for universities! You are on for a strong set of grades and there are many great universities you can apply to!
Here at LJMU our standard entry requirements for LLB law are BBB!
I don't study law but know many people who do, they enjoy it a lot! We even have a mock court room on our campus and a law society- so you can get really stuck in to your subject! Our law students also have the opportunity to give pro-bono legal advice and have paid internships in the legal field.

Here is our webpage: https://www.ljmu.ac.uk/study/courses/undergraduates/2026/30578-law-llb-hons
We have an open day on the 19th june where you can come and meet the lecturers and look around our facilities!
I hope this helps and all the best of luck!

Hi!
As a year 12 student they are great predicted grades, and equally you are studying great A- Level subjects which will support you in the step up to law at university, these may aid your applications since whilst universities don't necessarily look for specific A-Level subjects for Law, essay subjects like those that you are studying are desirable. I wouldn't necessarily say that the universities you have chosen are too ambitious, you could certainly achieve above your current target grades and (if applicable to your circumstances) could potentially receive contextual offers from some universities, this may lower your entry requirements. It would also definitely be great to have a look at other universities so that you have a range with different entry requirements, colleges often recommend choosing 1-2 "ambitious" choices, that is above your predicted grades or around your predicted grades, then 1-2 that sit at or just below your predicted grades, and then maybe one "security" choice which has a little lower entry requirements, just so you have all bases covered just in case. Also, you could contact individual university admissions teams and ask any questions you have around entry requirements, contextual offers or things which they look for in applications- it doesn't hurt to ask and the worst they can do is say no or direct you to their website.
I hope this helps, please keep aspiring to get to the universities you have chosen!
