a level music or maths?

i'm thinking of applying for dentistry at uni - would a level maths give me an advantage over music with biology and chemistry? or do unis not really care? the other subject would be taken as an as exam in year 12 summer.

I would say Maths is more helpful for medicine, but just take the a level which interests you the most.

Maths could be more useful for dentistry.
However it would be worth checking on unis websites to see if they actually require maths or not.
Could you do the 4 subjects- maths and music.
Or could you do maths- then do music stuff (music exams/grades etc) in your own time. It would also give you something else to talk about.

Check if maths is often required by unis for dentistry, I suspect that Bio and Chem will be fine alongside music though. Dentistry applicants are expected to have very high grades so if thats unlikely to happen with maths, opt for music. I dont quite understand your comment on taking an exam in year 12 summer, some unis for healthcare degrees dont like it when exams are not all taken in one sitting
