sixth form advice!!!

hey guyss!
i was wondering because i do foottech(it counts a btec) i wont be able to get into any good sixthforms such as LAE, NCS, bramptoon etc im so annoyed i only have 7 gcses im in year10 rn do you guys think it would be too late to swap out foodtech for another option?

It's good you're thinking about this early. First doing food tech BTEC and having 7 GCSEs does not automatically stop you from getting into strong sixth forms like LAE, NCS or Brampton. I do believe theirs a heavy focus on the subjects you choose in sixth form. So if food tech is something you do think you can improve in but you know you wont take it into further study in sixth form think about swapping. You could also organise further discussion with your academics.

Different schools have different rules/policies.
Your best bet would be to speak to your school to double check.
It may also be worth checking with those 6th forms and their entry requirements as you may be able to get in with the btec.
