Study buddy/group? Y11

Hello I'm in y11 and sitting my GCSEs this may/june.

I would like to have a GCSE study buddy to help keep me motivated. Please only bring it up if you're interested in doing so and doing a healthy amount (not something like 6 hours daily, I'm happy with long revision sessions on non school days!)

My mock grades are here
AQA Combined science 7-6
Edexcel Maths 6
AQA English language 7
AQA English literature 5
Edexcel Re 8
AQA Spanish Higher 5
AQA Geography 6
Edexcel History 7

I'm aiming for at least 7s and 8s in most subjects for GCSE, Spanish a 6.

We would talk about weekly goals aims and motivate eachother! I'd prefer if we had some cross over in subjects but if not thats fine as well.

Thank you

Hi there! I'm also a year 11 doing my gcses this year, and I would love to be your study buddy(if that's ok with you ofc). I really need someone to keep me accountable and make sure I revise consistently lol

I will be doing the following gcses:
AQA - physics, chemistry, biology, maths, french, religious studies
Eduqas - English Literature & language
Edexcel - Geography, computer science, business studies
(all at higher level)

I think we generally have similar subjects, although where you have Spanish and History I have French and Computer science.

The 'talking about weekly goals aims and motivating each other' seems like a great idea I'd love that - anyways, let me know what you think, and you're under no pressure to agree to being study buddies, I completely understand if you don't want to. Feel free to ask any questions you have about me or this arrangement and I'll answer

thanks xx

Hi.

I can't study buddy with you because I'm doing Scottish qualifications instead, but I hope someone reaches out to be an on-TSR study buddy.

I also suggest that, if it's motivation and accountability you're after, you consider starting a GYG (a Grow Your Grades thread). I have one myself and I find that it's great for productivity. I'm linking the post that details what a GYG is and what to do.

I hope this helps. 😊

I did my GCSEs last summer. I would say it is more about structuring your revision effectively and not getting overwhelmed rather than the number of hours. Also, I would first focus on the subjects that you would do at alevel and that would be useful to your career.

Thank you! If you did want to study buddy I'd be happy to still do it with you despite the different qualifications!

I'd be happy to be study buddies! I'll be able to help keep you accountable hopefully and the same the other way around! I don't know if there is private messaging on TSR if not we can message on this chain! We could maybe message our aims for the day including revision and homework either in the morning or evening before on some days. And could possibly check in on each other and how we are doing with revision and what we did. If you have any other ideas on what we could also do feel free to share!

For history I do crime and punishment, early Elizabethan England, cold war, and Weimar + nazi Germany. What about you?
