Civil service grades eo to seo

Hi I want to climb the ladder after being an Eo at Dwp for 3 years. In this time I have acted as Heo on TDA for 2 years, I want to ideally grade 6/7 in next 3 years, I may skip heo and apply for SEO, has anyone done this before? Any tips? Ive managed teams in operates roles as a heo on TDA.

I skipped SEO, took me five years to get to G7 from HEO. Then just over five years to G6 and then five and a half years to DD.
Not sure what tips you're hoping for, have the competancy examples ready?

How did you find that jump, was it the case of it was challenging at first but with hard work and time you adapted?

Can you tell us more about the challenges you faced in that transition or how you adapted from Heo to g7

im applying for an eo role at dwp and i have an interview in april.. whats your job title? how is it? is it a lot of pressure - i havent dont anything serious like this before and im surprised i even made it to the interview stage.
