Edinburgh Law/Business LLB through Clearing?

Hi, I’m looking for some advice about the University of Edinburgh’s Law programmes.

I didn’t apply to Uni of Edinburgh for Law/Business because I mistakenly thought the LNAT was required and I didn’t want to risk applying without a strong score, so I applied to glasgow Law/business instead. I’ve since realised that the Law & Business LLB doesn’t require it at Edinburgh and I’m really regretting not including Edinburgh in my choices. Whereas other schools they don’t offer the LLB qualification with a joint honours.

I currently DO hold offers elsewhere, Aberdeen LAW and International business at strathclyde and cali, but I’m wondering how realistic it is for Law (particularly Law & Business) at Edinburgh to have places available in Clearing on results day?

I know it’s a competitive course, so I’m just trying to understand whether this is something that ever happens, or if it’s extremely unlikely.

Hi d_n,
Realistically, you should treat it as unlikely rather than something to rely on.
Clearing tends to have fewer places in high demand courses at top universities.
If Edinburgh is a strong preference, your practical options are to call them on results day to ask directly about availability, consider applying in the next cycle if you are set on that specific course, or explore whether internal transfers are possible once enrolled elsewhere, though those are not guaranteed.

For now, focus on meeting your offer conditions at University of Glasgow and keep Edinburgh as a bonus option rather than a plan.

Good luck with A levels,
Alfred Ulaw.

For those firming Edinburgh and looking for student accommodation, I am finding a new tenant to take over my contract, as I am firming another university and if anyone’s interested, please contact me.

My contract is £272/week for 44 weeks

Amazon bin stores offer deeply discounted items, making them a great opportunity for resellers. With the right amazon bin store flipping approach, you can find undervalued products and resell them for profit online. Focus on checking item condition, researching resale value, and visiting stores on restock days. Consistency and smart selection can help turn small purchases into steady income over time.
