Best school for a future registered dietitian?

Hi! I'm an international student who would love to study nutrition and dietetics in the UK. However, I'm not sure which school to choose. I know the University of Surrey offers Nutrition and Dietetics, but I'm also considering Nutrition and Medical Sciences at UCL and Nutritional Sciences at KCL. As a person who wants to become a registered dietitian in the future, which school would be most beneficial for me and my future career (including opportunities, social life, etc.)? I would love to hear feedback, especially from students studying these degrees! Thank you so much! <33

Hi!

To become a registered dietitian in the UK you’ll need to study in an accredited course. There are many universities that offer the Nutrition course and are known to have a good social life balance like University of Nottingham, King’s college london, University college london, Newcastle university.
I recommend you to have a look through them, read student reviews and look at student vlogs who are doing the same subject.
Most importantly, make sure the degree is a HCPC & BDA-accredited before making a decision😊.

Hi Sarah, I'm also considering KCL and UCL, but are the masters extremely competitive for an international student?

There is a list of approved courses on the HCPC website. UCL only offers a masters course, not an undergrad. And yes, healthcare masters courses are often more competitive than undergraduate courses. Also note that some healthcare course providers restrict entry to UK students only. London is very expensive to live, so if costs are an issue consider some options outside of London. All HCPC-approved courses are held to the same standard and cover the same content so it doesn't matter where you get your degree from.
