I applied on the 27th of December and got an interview invite this week. I’m honestly super nervous but I’m trying my best to prep. I wish you the best!

I just got my offer for undergrad architecture. I sent off my portfolio on the 12th of Dec, had my interview on the 12th of Feb then got my place yesterday on the 11th. Good luck everyone!

Hi! I have also applied to the Bartlett but I’m still waiting to hear back about the interview. Do you have any tips for how to prepare for it, anything else you wish you’d done? Not sure how much you’re allowed to talk about it but was it heavily portfolio based?

Hi! it will take ages for them to reply back so do not feel stressed, When you receive ur invitation it will have all the information. interview will be 20 mins long and it won't be any longer than that to make fair for all the candidates. first 5 mins will be you walk through your portfolio and they will ask you some questions abt portfolio. And 15mins will be conversation based interview really chill, u js need to know why u r passionate abt architecture, why u want to study at the bartlett and u will be absolutely fine. best of luck!

yeah for sure - it wasn’t too portfolio driven just a 5 minute run through of a single project i did in a level fine art. Personally i didn’t try and do anything too crazy when explaining, just a bit of talking about how i developed my ideas from concepts to my final outcome based on what did and didn’t work. The rest of the interview was honestly so chill. It didn’t feel at all like any of the questions were trying to put too much pressure on me or back me into a corner it was generally very subjective stuff which i think everyone would answer differently with no right or wrong. I’d definitely be prepared to talk about yourself which is something i didn’t really struggle with as i do quite a lot of stuff outside of art and architecture but i think that was a bit of a curveball for some people. I applied around september last year and i submitted my portfolio on the 7th of jan, still havent heard back at all, no interview or rejection.

I’m sure you guys will hear back soon, they make most decisions by the end of April but they have until the 13th of may to make all decisions
