could I still get the grades I want (all 8/9s)

hi,

i've recently done my mocks and got
9998877766 (the 6s are in Maths and Biology- I only flopped because I was really ill during those exams)
My final exam predictions are - 9999988777
for the real exams I want to get all 8/9s, do i still have a chance to turn things around even with little time left?
I really would appreciate any advice at all for revision too especially with triple science aqa, maths higher aqa, geography aqa and business aqa.

Hi!

Well done on your mock results, those are absolutely fantastic!! All 8/9s is a very ambitious goal, with your current mock grades, you are likely to get into almost anywhere that you would like, but with your mock results, and around 3 months until GCSEs start, keep working hard and you absolutely can achieve this!
Don't try to put too much pressure on yourself to get all 8/9s though, as if a 7 comes up on your results card, you might feel disappointed, which you shouldn't for grades that incredible!

For revision advice, from my experience of Geography, Triple Science and Maths, past exam papers are absolute life-savers, and under time limits makes it even more like an exam situation! It gives you an example of what they might feel like in the summer! The more the better, because you'll get lots of different types of question, and you can be ready for anything!
For Geography and Science especially, I found that brain-storming into a mind-map was really effective, and helped me confirm and solidify what I knew about case studies, and other topics!
Flashcards are also really helpful for quick bursts of revision, good websites that I've used to do this are Quizlet and Brainscape!

Hope this helps even a little! And good luck for the summer, you've got this!

Have you had the papers back and analysed where you lost marks?

One area in AQA Maths is the MCQs - did you get them correct?

I actually haven't had much of a chance to go through my papers yet but I will be during this half term. With the MCQs in Maths - I actually think I got most of them wrong.

One tip would be to leave the MCQs to near the end. They are a common error on AQA.

Go through the papers traffic lighting topics. Tackle the Amber topics first.

Do you use Dr Frost at all?
