Firm unconditional in Liverpool or conditional in Sheffield

Been offered AAB for Sheffield or unconditional in Liverpool. I have BBBD and resitting one paper in English (B) and the D grade (but unlikely to get to an A). Not sure if to firm Sheffield and hope they drop grades on day or is this too much of a risk. I’m happy with Liverpool although not visited! Any thoughts on what to do?

Congratulations! You've done very well.

Both Liverpool and Sheffield are very good unis. Maybe you could firm the uni according to your personal preference (course content, city life, distance from home etc). If you prefer Sheffield, you could firm Sheffield and insure Liverpool. So if you unfortunately miss Sheffield's conditions, you could still be admitted to Liverpool, see below (scroll down for "conditional firm (CF) and unconditional insurance (UI)" under "offer and reply combinations")

Of course if you like Liverpool more, firm Liverpool and get prepared for starting there
