Help i've bought the wrong gcse revision textbooks

So I bought 3 revision textbooks, 2 from Oxford revise (chemistry and physics) and one from CGP (biology) however I bought these through school before I was given the option to do combined or triple. I chose combined however the textbooks are triple. I have searched and contacted many people to ask which sections I don't need to learn (thinking I could just cross them off) however no one has come back to me with a straight answer. Now I am left with 3 textbooks that include information I don't need to know, I have no idea what I have to learn, and my exams are in 3 weeks. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!

hi, I would recommend going through the specification to see what you need to learn, it should be on the aqa website. good luck with your exams!

I found the cgp guides really helpful when i did my gcses last year, like for science my revision was all from the cgp guides and got 3 9s so they work i think.

Hey @ss108,

As mentioned above, read the AQA GCSE Combined Science specification available on the AQA website. It will tell you what exactly you need to know within each topic (broken down into subheadings) and each subject (Biology, Chemistry and Physics). You can then flick through the revision books and see which material is relevant and which parts of the material you don't need to know. It may not be as simple as crossing off whole topics - you may just need to know some topics in a lot less detail comapred to Triple students.

The books are still an incredibly useful revision resource, so try not to be too stressed over their exact content. 🙂

Hope this helps and best of luck with your exams,
Eve (Kingston Rep).
