DPhil Geography 2026 Oxford

Hi dear. It might be a good idea to open this thread for 2026 Oxford Dphil in Geography entry.

What were your research topics? How was your application experience? etc. :smile:

Hi!
Thanks for opening the thread. I applied for a part time DPhil to the smith school via SoGE. Have yet to hear back from them. Does anyone know if interviews are common for these types of applications? I haven't received one and it seems weird that getting into Oxford wouldn't include an interview.
Also, are we really going to wait until the end of march for an answer?

Hiya all. I applied for a full-time DPhil focusing on transport geographies, so would be within the TSU. Haven't heard anything back yet either 🙂 Regarding interviews, the entry requirements section on the course website says 'Interviews are not normally held as part of the admissions process.' so I'm not expecting one.

Yes, i beleieve there wont be an interview, their MScs also dont hold interviews.
