What should I do for gcse Electronics (Eduquas) or Computer Science (OCR)?

I'm unsure which one to pick since I enjoy doing things like phone repair however electronics focuses more on circuits while I also enjoy building pcs and I am regularly updated on the PC side however I am shaky on coding but feel like I could pick it up fast. In addition, I want to have a tech related career so if I chose comp science for gcse I would probably take it for A level however many people say it is difficult.

I took Computer Science and found it to be a subject I mainly could've self-learned; My GCSE school didnt offer Electronics, but my current A-Level school does and it seemed fascinating to me. Its also a topic harder to self-learn in my opinion (Though certainly still possible!)

If you want a tech-related career though, I'd pick Comp Sci; Electronics can be considered as courses like "Electrical Engineering" at University, and will not at all prep you for courses like Computer Science.

I found Computer Science relatively easy - I got an 8, and I got 78/80 on my Paper 2 for OCR, which is "the programming paper". However, it should be noted that I had learnt Python, the language we used on the course, in Year 6, so I had a bunch of time to build up practice for the course. Furthermore, a lot of the stuff we learnt I had already known because I was immersed in the Computer Science space; My hobbies and friend circles online essentially leads me to revising Comp Sci for fun, not considering GCSE. I think people would call Comp Sci harder purely because they dont know what theyre getting into (Lots of essay writing). Its easy if you care.

Ultimately, you gotta pick your GCSEs and I can't do that for you. All I can really say is that I liked Comp Sci and think it prepped me more for a tech career path, but Electronics would've been really cool for a "hobby GCSE"
