revision times

Hiii
I am looking for some advise with revision
With a levels in about 3 months now, I made kind of a rough plan for how many hours to study.
For instance, this half term I m doing 6-7 hours everyday and during school days I wanted to alternate between 3.5 and 4 hours.
I am aiming for A stars and would love some feedback on if this is good enough...
Thank you!!

Hii!What grades are you currently on?What grades does your chosen Universities require?

I think these hours are VERY ambitious (yes ambition is something needed for an A*) but I fear it may lead to being you being burnt out in the long run.I prefer to measure the QUALITY of revision in terms of how many chapters I've done or how many (exam)questions I've done, instead of focusing on how long it'd take.Consistency is everything, and some work is better than no work,so I'd say this plan may lead to burnout.Be kind on yourself!😉

Hii
In all fairness, I have been "training" myself for this since yr 10 hehe. I m working at 3 A stars and need the same.
What I am worried about tho is last year lot of ppl who were predicted A stars didnt get them and I dont want to end up with that

Hey @owl_45,

Well done on working at three A*'s already!

I think 3.5-4 hours a day on school days is ambitious, but if you feel comfortable with that amount and can still fit in some breaks/hobbies, go for it! As mentioned above, focus on the quality of your revision rather than the quantity - if you're already working at three A*'s, it may be more useful to spend time on exam technique and application instead of memorising content.

Hope this helps and best of luck with your A-Levels,
Eve (Kingston Rep).
