My favourite study spots on campus

Hi there,

I'm a 3rd year Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Glasgow. Taking 12 courses a year means I always have plenty of coursework and revision to be getting on with, and over time I've found my favourite places to study on campus!

My top 3 study spots:

1. Main Library

Desktops, a cafe, microwaves, hot water and plenty of space, there's a reason the library is so popular. Over your time at uni you'll no doubt find your favourite floor out of the 12 on offer, just make sure to get there early to get a good spot!

2. James Watt School of Engineering

A biased choice but a good one nonetheless! Lots of windows, good vending machines and right next to Kelvingrove park when you need a break and some fresh air.

3. Glasgow University Union/ G12 Cafe

The union really has it all. During the day you can almost always get a seat in the Reading Room or Beer Bar, or if you're lucky, in the adjoining cafe G12, which has my favourite coffee on campus! Food, drinks, comfy chairs and pool/ darts upstairs for when you need a break, a great spot for casual study days.

If you join us at Glasgow this September, make sure to test out the different spots on campus and find YOUR favourite!
